Free tools to plan your futures trades: know your profit, liquidation price and position size before you enter.
Profit or loss on a futures trade depends on position size, not just margin. Position size = margin × leverage. A 5% price move on a 10x position changes your margin by about 50%, in either direction.
This estimates isolated-margin liquidation. Exchanges use tiered maintenance rates and add fees, so your real liquidation price can differ slightly. Always check the order screen before you open a trade.
Risking 1–2% of your balance per trade is a common rule. The stop loss distance decides how large your position can be, so you size the trade from the risk, not from a guess.
Leverage = position size ÷ margin. Higher leverage means a smaller price move can liquidate you. Beginners usually do better with low leverage and a proper stop loss.
